Terrence Cottrell: Death By Exorcism

On August 22, 2003, Terrence Cottrell Jr. died as a prayer leader and boy's mother attempted to "exorcise" the "evil spirits" of autism from him. An autopsy showed he died from suffocation.
On July 9, 2004, Ray Hemphill, the man who led the ritual was convicted of felony abuse of a child causing great bodily harm.
On August 17, 2004, Hemphill was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison and 7 1/2 years state supervision
